The Capital Prep Method
What to study, when to study it & the exact moment you're ready.
Cut out the months of studying you don't need. CT prep that adapts every day — no guessing what to do next.
SurePass readiness
A readiness score built from your own answers, not a bar that fills because you clicked. Recent work counts heaviest, so the twenty minutes between cases actually move it — and on an exam reported as a scaled score it is the straightest answer you get to "am I ready?"

Anywhere Mode · Study from your pocket
Ten minutes of scrolling — or ten minutes closer to passing.
Your phone is already in your hand. Two taps, no signal needed.
- Quick Ten — One tap. Ten questions, with the rationale on every one.
- It downloads itself — No button, no setup, nothing to remember.
- No bars? Still works — Airplane mode, the subway, a cabin in the woods.
- Nothing gets lost. Ever. — Saves as you tap, syncs when you're back.
Flashcards and practice questions work offline. The study guide, audio and full-length mocks need a connection.

Questions, answered
What's inside the study portal?
The full Fast Track Study System — every practice question, every flashcard deck, full-length mock exams, narrated audio, Miles the AI tutor, and the entire study guide, every chapter readable and highlightable. The cheat sheet — the highest-yield facts as a PDF — is in the study portal on every pass, with instant access to download it. Every pass opens all of it; Standard carries the Money-Back Guarantee and SurePass the SurePass Guarantee.
Is this the CT exam or the Radiography exam?
This is Computed Tomography, the postprimary certification — the one you sit to add CT to a credential you already hold. It is not the primary Radiography examination, which is a different blueprint, a different length and a different candidate. Postprimary eligibility is its own path: an ARRT credential in an approved supporting discipline (or an NMTCB one), documented clinical experience in CT, and 16 credits of approved structured education completed in the 24 months before you apply. Everything here — the questions, the guide, the mocks and the guarantee — is built to ARRT's CT content specifications, the ones that took effect on 1 September 2026.
How does the SurePass Guarantee work?
Standard and SurePass carry it. Score 85%+ on one full-length mock, sit the real exam, and if you don't pass we refund what you paid. On SurePass, clear two mocks with your readiness meter at "Getting close" or above and we also pay your full $200 retake fee. A refund also comes with free access to keep preparing — 90 more days on Standard, another year on SurePass. Starter carries no refund — don't pass, upload your score report, and we add 30 more days of access, free. Every free period is counted from the earliest date your exam allows a retake. You file the claim in your study portal with your official score report.
How many full-length mocks do I get?
Four scored full-length sittings, each a brand-new 195-question paper weighted to ARRT's four content categories in the shares it prints and timed to the real 195 minutes. Practice questions and timed practice are unlimited and never use one. 195 is not a round number we picked — it is what ARRT's own handbook prints for CT: 165 scored items and 30 pilot items, 195 minutes of test time. Our forms are built to that total, drawn from a 975-question bank.
Which pass should I buy?
SurePass, for almost everyone: today it costs the same as Standard, it runs a full year, and it is the only pass that pays your retake fee if you don't pass (and adds another year free). Standard is a month of access with the Money-Back Guarantee — a refund plus 90 more days if you don't pass. Starter is one week of access with no refund — don't pass and you get 30 more days free.
What score do I need to pass?
ARRT reports a scaled score from 1 to 99 and you need 75 to pass — and ARRT's own caution belongs next to that number, in its words: "This isn't a percentage; the number of correct answers necessary to obtain a scaled score of 75 may vary." ARRT has published a raw equivalent from one form and said in the same document that the raw score needed can change between forms, so there is no fixed share of questions that passes. The 85% our mocks are marked against is ours, not ARRT's, and it is also the score that qualifies you for the guarantee.
What does the exam cost, and what does a second attempt cost?
ARRT charges $225 to apply for a postprimary exam — $450 if your supporting credential is an NMTCB one rather than an ARRT one. A second attempt is not a discounted sitting: it is a separate application with its own reapplication fee, and you get three attempts within three years of your first exam window opening. After that, eligibility ends, and getting it back means repeating the clinical experience, completing 16 new credits of structured education and paying the full application fee again. The reapplication is what SurePass covers — we pay your full $200 retake fee if you qualify and don't pass, which is the fee to apply again rather than the $225 you have already spent.
Do I still need structured education, and do your hours count toward it?
Yes you still need it, and no — ours do not count. We would rather say that plainly than let you find out at the application. ARRT requires 16 credits of approved structured education before you apply, completed within the previous 24 months, with at least one credit from each content category. We hold no ARRT or RCEEM approval, so nothing here discharges a single one of those hours. If you still need them, buy them from somebody who is approved: an ASRT membership — a different organisation from ARRT — ran about $135 a year with 17 CE credits included when we checked in September 2026, and two of the three sellers in the comparison below bundle the 16 hours into their course price, which is most of the reason those prices start where they do. Where we are the right buy is after that part is done: your application is in, your window is open, you have an appointment at Pearson, and what is left is the exam itself.
Is the exam about to change?
No. ARRT revised the CT content specifications and the clinical experience requirements with effect from 1 September 2026, and this bank is built to that revision — the current documents, not the previous ones. ARRT reviews each discipline's documents on roughly a five-year cycle and has announced nothing further for CT, which is part of why SurePass is a comfortable buy here. ARRT did approve an updated passing standard for CT on that same date. It changes no content: it is the line your scaled score is judged against, and it applies to everyone testing from then on.
Are the questions like the real exam?
Every item is written to ARRT's four content categories and weighted to its published scored-item counts — 21 Patient Care, 21 Safety, 52 Image Production and 71 Procedures out of the 165 that count — with four options, one key and a reason given for every option. Each key was recomputed from the question itself before the explanation was read. Two honest limits. ARRT's handbook permits item formats beyond multiple choice, such as sorting and hot-spot items, and ours are all four-option multiple choice. And Procedures on the real exam leans on anatomy you recognise on an image; a text item can test the landmark and the criteria but not the picture, so pair this with the scans in front of you at work.
What happens when my pass expires?
Your account stays and your work stays with it — notes, highlights and flashcard history are all there if you come back. The paid features stop. You can upgrade at any time and pick up exactly where you left off, and an upgrade always credits what you already paid. SurePass runs a full year — and adds another year free if you don't pass.
My exam date moved. Does the plan adjust?
Yes, and on this exam it will: a 365-day window means dates move. Change the date and the Game Plan rebuilds around the new one — it works backwards from your appointment, so a move forward compresses it and a move back spreads it out. Nothing is lost.
Can I use it on my phone, and does it work offline?
Yes to both. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app. Your due flashcards and a set of practice questions download automatically, and the whole study guide downloads too, narrated audio included — so a department with no signal is still study time. Scored mocks and the tutor wait for a connection.
Do you offer refunds if I change my mind?
Yes, separately from the pass guarantee: 24 hours on Starter, 48 hours on Standard, or 72 hours on SurePass, measured from your purchase (or from your upgrade, if you upgraded) — no questions asked, as long as you haven't sat your exam yet. EEA and UK buyers also keep their 14-day statutory right. The SurePass Guarantee is the other promise — that one is about your exam result, not about changing your mind.
Why are SurePass guarantees limited?
Because we honor them. Every guarantee is a real financial commitment we may genuinely pay out, so a limited number opens for this exam each day. The allocation resets at midnight in your own time zone, and the counter shows how many of today's are still open.
