The Capital Prep Method
What to study, when to study it & the exact moment you're ready.
Cut out the months of studying you don't need. ParaPro prep that adapts every day — no guessing what to do next.
SurePass readiness
A readiness score built from your own answers, not a bar that fills because you clicked. Recent work counts heaviest, so the twenty minutes you find in a prep period actually move it.

Anywhere Mode · Study from your pocket
Ten minutes of scrolling — or ten minutes closer to passing.
Your phone is already in your hand. Two taps, no signal needed.
- Quick Ten — One tap. Ten questions, with the rationale on every one.
- It downloads itself — No button, no setup, nothing to remember.
- No bars? Still works — Airplane mode, the subway, a cabin in the woods.
- Nothing gets lost. Ever. — Saves as you tap, syncs when you're back.
Flashcards and practice questions work offline. The study guide, audio and full-length mocks need a connection.

Questions, answered
What's inside the study portal?
The full Fast Track Study System — every practice question, every flashcard deck, full-length mock exams, narrated audio, Miles the AI tutor, and the entire study guide, every chapter readable and highlightable. The cheat sheet — the highest-yield facts as a PDF — is in the study portal on every pass, with instant access to download it. Every pass opens all of it; Standard carries the Money-Back Guarantee and SurePass the SurePass Guarantee.
ETS has two paraeducator tests. Which one is this?
This is the ParaPro Assessment, test code 1755 — one 90-question paper sat in 150 minutes, covering Reading, Mathematics and Writing. ETS also sells a newer paraeducator test, ParaPathways (5757), and it is a genuinely different test with a different length, different timing and different scores. Check which one your state or district requires before you buy anything, from us or from anyone. ETS publishes the list itself: of the 45 jurisdictions on its state-requirements page, 18 accept ParaPro only, 20 accept ParaPathways only and 7 accept either — and in California, Florida, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin it is individual districts that decide, each with its own qualifying score. Your district's HR office is the fastest place to settle it. Everything here — the questions, the guide, the mocks and the guarantee — is built for 1755.
How does the SurePass Guarantee work?
Standard and SurePass carry it. Score 80%+ on one full-length mock, sit the real exam, and if you don't pass we refund what you paid. On SurePass, clear two mocks with your readiness meter at "Getting close" or above and we also pay up to $85 toward your retake fee. A refund also comes with free access to keep preparing — 90 more days on Standard, another year on SurePass. Starter carries no refund — don't pass, upload your score report, and we add 30 more days of access, free. Every free period is counted from the earliest date your exam allows a retake. You file the claim in your study portal with your official score report.
How many full-length mocks do I get?
Four scored full-length sittings, each a brand-new 90-question paper built to ETS's three content categories in the shares ETS prints — 30 Reading, 30 Mathematics, 30 Writing — and timed to the real 150 minutes. Practice questions and timed practice are unlimited and never use one. Worth knowing what you are comparing that to. ETS sells three interactive practice forms and says on its own product page that retaking or repurchasing one "does not give you different practice questions" or change the order they come in. Ours are drawn from the whole 900-question bank.
Which pass should I buy?
SurePass, for almost everyone: today it costs the same as Standard, it runs a full year, and it is the only pass that pays your retake fee if you don't pass (and adds another year free). Standard is a month of access with the Money-Back Guarantee — a refund plus 90 more days if you don't pass. Starter is one week of access with no refund — don't pass and you get 30 more days free.
What score do I need?
That depends on where you work, and it is the thing people get wrong about this test. ETS reports ParaPro on a 420-480 scale and sets no passing mark at all — in its own words, qualifying scores are set by the state or school district. The ones ETS publishes run from 440 to 467, and in several states individual districts set their own, so two candidates can sit the same paper on the same morning and need different numbers. Look yours up before you book. The 80% our mocks are marked against is ours, not ETS's, and it is also the score that qualifies you for the guarantee.
What does the test cost, and what does a retake cost?
ETS charges $85 to sit it at home with an online proctor and $55 at a participating community-based test centre, where some centres add a proctoring fee of their own. There is no discounted retake — a second attempt is a fresh registration at the same price — and the timing is unusually forgiving: the 2026-27 Bulletin says you can retake it once as soon as you would like, and only a further attempt needs a 7-day wait. Because the two routes cost different amounts, the SurePass Guarantee pays up to $85 toward your retake fee rather than one flat figure: we reimburse what your receipt actually says, up to that ceiling. And ask your district first — ETS sells school systems prepaid vouchers that cover the full test fee and stay valid for two calendar years, so a lot of paraeducators never pay this themselves.
Are the questions like the real test?
Mostly, and here is the part that is not. Every item is written to ETS's three content categories and weighted the way ETS weights them, with four options, one key and a reason given for every option — and each key was recomputed from the question itself before the explanation was read. About one question in three puts you in a classroom and asks what a paraprofessional helping a student should do, which is ETS's own split: roughly two-thirds basic skills, one-third applying them with students. What we do differently: ETS says a Mathematics question may ask you to type a numeric answer into a box, and all of ours are multiple choice. A four-option question has a one-in-four floor and a typed one has almost none, so our Mathematics third reads a little kinder than the real one — which is the honest reason our mock bar sits high rather than low. No calculator on the real test, and none here.
What about ETS's own practice materials?
Worth having, and worth knowing exactly what they are. The Study Companion for 1755 is a free PDF carrying the full outline and 18 sample questions, with a free study planner beside it. When you register you also get one authentic full-length interactive practice test free, and ETS sells further forms at $24.95 each. The line to read before you buy more of them is ETS's own, on its product page: retaking or repurchasing the same practice test "does not give you different practice questions" or change the order in which they are delivered. They come from the body that writes the exam, which is something we cannot claim, and they are fixed papers. Ours is a 900-question bank that yields ten different 90-question sittings — and no ETS product refunds you or pays anything toward a second registration. Prices move and ETS runs seasonal coupons, so check them yourself.
What happens when my pass expires?
Your account stays and your work stays with it — notes, highlights and flashcard history are all there if you come back. The paid features stop. You can upgrade at any time and pick up exactly where you left off, and an upgrade always credits what you already paid.
My exam date moved. Does the plan adjust?
Yes. Change the date and the Game Plan rebuilds around the new one — it works backwards from your date, so a move forward compresses it and a move back spreads it out. Nothing is lost.
Can I use it on my phone, and does it work offline?
Yes to both. Add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app. Your due flashcards and a set of practice questions download automatically, and the whole study guide downloads too, narrated audio included — so a bus ride with no signal is still study time. Scored mocks and the tutor wait for a connection.
Do you offer refunds if I change my mind?
Yes, separately from the pass guarantee: 24 hours on Starter, 48 hours on Standard, or 72 hours on SurePass, measured from your purchase (or from your upgrade, if you upgraded) — no questions asked, as long as you haven't sat your exam yet. EEA and UK buyers also keep their 14-day statutory right. The SurePass Guarantee is the other promise — that one is about your exam result, not about changing your mind.
Why are SurePass guarantees limited?
Because we honor them. Every guarantee is a real financial commitment we may genuinely pay out, so a limited number opens for this exam each day. The allocation resets at midnight in your own time zone, and the counter shows how many of today's are still open.
Have questions or concerns?
A real person reads every message and replies by email.
