Can I study without an internet connection?
Yes. Open your flashcards once while online and your due cards download to your phone automatically — no button to press. Practice questions download too. You can then review with no signal at all, and everything you answer saves on your device and syncs the moment you're back online, even if you closed the app in between. The whole study guide downloads too, narrated audio included; scored mocks and the tutor are the two things that still need a connection.
Is there an app to download?
There's nothing to install from an app store. Open Capital Prep in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen — on iPhone that's Share → Add to Home Screen, on Android it's the Install prompt. It then opens full-screen like any other app, takes up almost no space, and is always the current version because there's nothing to update.

How does the SurePass Guarantee work?
Standard and SurePass carry it. Score 80%+ on one full-length mock, sit the real exam, and if you don't pass we refund what you paid. On SurePass, clear two mocks with your readiness meter at "Getting close" or above and we also pay your full $147 retake fee. A refund also comes with free access to keep preparing — 90 more days on Standard, another year on SurePass. Starter carries no refund — don't pass, upload your score report, and we add 30 more days of access, free. Every free period is counted from the earliest date your exam allows a retake. You file the claim in your study portal with your official score report.
Do I need the SIE or a sponsor before the Series 63?
No. The Series 63 is NASAA's state-law exam — it has no prerequisite and you can register for it yourself, without a firm sponsoring you. Most people sit it alongside the Series 6 or Series 7, and if you're prepping one of those too, we cover them as well.
Which pass should I buy?
SurePass, for almost everyone: today it costs the same as Standard, it runs a full year, and it is the only pass that pays your retake fee if you don't pass (and adds another year free). Standard is a month of access with the Money-Back Guarantee — a refund plus 90 more days if you don't pass. Starter is one week of access with no refund — don't pass and you get 30 more days free.
What happens when my pass expires?
Your progress is kept. You can upgrade at any time and pick up exactly where you were — and upgrades always credit what you already paid.
Are the questions like the real exam?
They're written to NASAA's Series 63 outline and weighted to its eight areas, so a mock is the same shape as the real thing: 60 scored questions, 75 minutes, 72% to pass.
My exam date moved. Does the plan adjust?
Yes. Change the date and the plan rebuilds around your new one.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes — everything syncs across devices, and the reader, flashcards and practice all work on a phone.
Why are SurePass guarantees limited?
Because they're real commitments — every guarantee is a refund — and on SurePass a retake fee — we may genuinely pay out, so a limited number of them opens for the Series 63 each day. The allocation resets at midnight in your own time zone, and the counter shows how many of today's are still open.
Can I bundle exams and save?
Yes — that's the Bundle & Save builder. The Series 63 pairs with the Series 6 or the Series 7 (with or without the SIE), and a tiered discount applies to every course: 15% extra off a pair, 30% off three, stacked on current prices. Every bundled course runs 1 year per exam, starting when you begin that exam, each with its own SurePass Guarantee.
How does the guarantee work on a bundle?
Every course in your bundle carries SurePass. Qualify on the course you sat (80%+ on one full-length mock), and if you don't pass, you're covered — a refund, plus retake-fee reimbursement on SurePass once you clear two mocks with your readiness meter at "Getting close" or above: up to the official retake fee of the most expensive exam in your bundle, in total. Refunds are per course: the exam you didn’t pass is refunded, the rest of your bundle stays yours.
Do you offer refunds if I change my mind?
Yes, separately from the pass guarantee: 24 hours on Starter, 48 hours on Standard, or 72 hours on SurePass, measured from your purchase (or from your upgrade, if you upgraded) — no questions asked, as long as you haven't sat your exam yet. EEA and UK buyers also keep their 14-day statutory right. The SurePass Guarantee is the other promise — that one is about your exam result, not about changing your mind.
